There are many BTEC levels – from Level 2 (like high school) to Level 7 (like postgraduate study). Students can choose from subjects like business, engineering, health, and creative arts. BTEC is flexible and useful for students who prefer learning by doing.

BTEC Level 3 is equal to Mathayom 6 or A-Level and is accepted by TCAS and many top universities in Thailand, including Chulalongkorn, Thammasat, and Mahidol.

The History of Pearson and BTEC

Pearson is the company behind BTEC. It is one of the biggest education companies in the world. Pearson started in the 1840s and grew to be a leader in education and publishing.

In 1984, Pearson started offering BTEC qualifications after working with the Business and Technology Education Council. Since then, BTEC has become one of the most trusted names in education. It is now used in more than 60 countries.

Today, Pearson BTEC is known for good quality, practical learning, and strong support for students.

BTEC Level 3 is not only accepted in Thailand. It is also a good choice for students who want to study in the UK, Australia, the USA, Canada, and New Zealand.

What Is in the BTEC Programme?

The BTEC programme has different subjects, called units. Each unit teaches important skills and knowledge. Students do assignments, projects, and case studies to show what they have learned.

BTEC has different levels – at Westminster College Bangkok, students follow BTEC level 3.

Level 3: For students after high school or as an A-Level alternative. Subjects include business, health, or engineering.

Helping Parents Feel Confident About Their Child’s Education:
A Simple Path from High School to University

Many parents feel worried when their child is planning to go to university. The world is changing quickly, and school programmes sometimes do not give students everything they need. Today’s students must get ready for tests like IELTS, build a strong portfolio, and also learn the skills they need to succeed at university.

A study programme that includes real projects, practical learning, and useful skills can help solve many of these problems.

One great option is BTEC (Business & Technology Education Council). This is a modern study programme from the UK. It is now officially accepted in Thailand by the Council of University Presidents (TCAS) as equal to the Thai high school certificate. This means that students with BTEC can apply to Thai universities.

At Westminster College Bangkok, students can finish the BTEC programme in just one year. There are two study options:

  • Business
  • Engineering & Technology
