From WCB to Australia’s No.1 University
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Masha’s outstanding achievement of earning a GPA of 9.0/10 and receiving an offer to study a Bachelor of Commerce at UNSW Sydney, Australia’s No.1 University (QS World University Rankings 2027).
This remarkable milestone is a testament to her perseverance, resilience, and unwavering commitment to achieving her goals.
Masha joined Westminster College Bangkok with a clear ambition—to study at one of Australia’s leading universities. She chose our UNSW College Foundation Studies programme because she believed it would provide the academic foundation and pathway to the degree she had always aspired to pursue.
Moving to Bangkok on her own was both an exciting opportunity and a significant challenge. Like many international students, Masha had to adapt to a new country, a different style of learning, and life away from her family and familiar surroundings. Rather than letting these challenges hold her back, she embraced every opportunity to grow, settling into a new environment while remaining focused on her long-term goal.
From the very beginning of her studies, Masha demonstrated an exceptional work ethic. She approached every class with enthusiasm, prepared thoroughly for lessons, and consistently challenged herself to achieve the highest standards. Whether completing assignments or participating in classroom discussions, she remained disciplined, motivated, and committed to continuous improvement. Her positive attitude, willingness to learn, and determination to succeed left a lasting impression on both her lecturers and classmates.
“WCB has done so much to prepare me for university. From regular meetings with university counsellors to interactive classes and group projects, everything was designed to help me feel confident about taking the next step. I definitely feel much more ready for university than I did before coming here.”
— Masha
Throughout her journey, Masha also made the most of the support available to her. Working closely with our academic staff, university counsellors, and student services team, she successfully adapted to university-style learning while building the confidence, independence, and academic skills needed to thrive in an international environment.
Achieving a GPA of 9.0/10 is an exceptional accomplishment and reflects not only Masha’s hard work and determination but also her unwavering commitment to her future.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone and can’t wait to see Masha begin the next chapter of her journey at UNSW Sydney. Congratulations once again, Masha! We can’t wait to see what your next chapter brings.
